Here are some fairly recent drawings that I did while I was supposed to be painting. A friend and I decided to work on painting with oils since we were both out of practice. So about once a week we got together to paint and talk about art- which was great. But I found myself getting frustrated and one night decided to take a break and started doodling instead and this is what came out of it. And honestly I was much happier with the results of this simple doodle than I was with any of the paintings I did. So I continued on and I have been playing with textures and color and the effects of different pens, markers and pencils. The top one also has one of my little cut designs on top of it, which is something I want to further explore. In other news I am finally almost all set up with my Etsy account and am excited to hopefully sell some of my creations and get feedback from people. Once it is up and running I will add a link on this site.
